Somewhere under the surface of your life, there’s a knowing that everything is okay.

What does it mean to be a Finder?

Most people move through life with a mind that constantly scans for problems: what is wrong, what could go wrong, and what needs to change before they can feel okay. Finders experience something different: an underlying sense of okayness regardless of what is happening in their lives. Some remember when this changed. Others have lived this way so long that it feels completely ordinary.

But this isn’t the reason we wrote to you

We are building The Finders Collective, and someone on our team thought you belonged in the room.

Many of the people being invited are the ones others turn to for ideas, answers, or direction. The Collective gives them something they rarely get: time with peers who already understand this part of life.

Fundamental Wellbeing also varies more than most people realize. Someone else may put words to a question you have carried for years or show you a part of the experience you have never seen because it is not your own.

For now, the invitation is simply to connect. If that interests you, we would like to talk.

What happens from here?

We are building The Finders Collective slowly, beginning with a retreat for a small group of people we believe belong in the room together.

The retreat will bring some of the most interesting parts of the Fundamental Wellbeing research to life. We will explore the different ways people experience it, the questions that tend to arise, and what the research has learned about living well from within it. There will be plenty of room to talk about what resonates, what does not, and what each person sees from where they stand.

Jocelyn Reyburn, our Chief Visionary Officer, has spent more than a decade bringing influential people together. She knows how much thought goes into creating a room that works: who is invited, why each person belongs, how the gathering begins, and when to step back and let people find one another.

If you already know this experience is part of your life and would like to learn more about the retreat and the Collective, we would love to connect with you.

Want to know more before we talk?

The free two-minute assessment compares your answers with patterns documented across more than two decades of research.

It does not tell you why your experience changed or what it means. It looks at how you experience life now.

Your result can show whether you are a Finder and if so, which Location most closely matches your experience.

Your Location points you toward the findings and resources most likely to be relevant to you. Instead of reading about Finders in general, you can begin with information about people whose experience is closer to your own.

The assessment, the Finders App, and everything inside it are funded by the Fundamental Wellbeing Foundation and completely free thanks to donor support.

You do not need to decide whether you want to join the Collective before writing. Tell us what caught your attention, ask about the retreat or the research, or share your assessment result if you would like to discuss it.

A few lines are enough. Your note goes directly to Melissa and Jocelyn. It will not begin an automated email sequence. We will reach out directly to find a time to connect.
